The Otago DHB both provides and contracts for health and disability support services worth $450m.
Services are provided by public hospitals and related services run by the Otago DHB Provider Arm and by other independent providers, referred to as non-government organisations (NGOs) who are funded by the Otago DHB, e.g. rural trusts (including hospitals in Clutha, Waitaki and Central Otago), general practitioners, pharmacists, aged care and mental health community service providers.
