The Food and Beverage Classification System is a practical tool to assist schools and ECE Services to improve the food and nutrition of children and young people.

Do you need HELP or want to KNOW more about the Food and Beverage Classification System?

  • Food and Beverage Classification Resource Kits which include a User Guide and a Catering Guide or Recipe booklet were sent to all schools and ECE Services in 2007. To order a copy online go to http://www.healthed.govt.nz and scroll down the page on the lefthand side and click on Nutrition and Physical Activity. The ECE service copy is HE1902; the school copy is HE1903.
  • Look up the online Buyer's Guide to find out about pre-packaged products that have been registered as meeting the 'everyday/sometimes' critieria: www.everyday-sometimes.org.nz
